Hartley Reef

Surf Spot

Description

When a northerly swell and a westerly wind line up, this rock-ledge peak turns into one of the best waves on the coast: fast, hollow and shallow, with lefts and rights off a jacking take-off. It's also short, committing and unforgiving. Best on a rising tide from mid to high. Watch a few sets from the cliff before deciding.
