Saltburn Point (Hunt Cliff)

Surf Spot

Description

At the southern end of Saltburn's beach, beneath the red cliffs of Hunt Cliff, a flat slab of reef produces long, fast rights when a clean north-easterly groundswell lines up at low tide. It doesn't happen often and everybody knows when it does. The rising tide cuts off the foot of the cliff, so plan your exit before you paddle out.
